Phd Title: Ecology and drivers of population change of Asian giant honeybees in South India: from forests to cityscapes
Phd Guide: Siddappa Setty R.

My research focuses on pollination ecology, specifically the migration and foraging dynamics of rock bees (Apis dorsata) in various landscape settings. I seek to identify the drivers impacting rock bee colony numbers in natural-urban gradients by understanding their population trend, food resource availability, and colony vulnerabilities. I work to foster human-bee relationships in natural and human-dominated landscapes by assisting communities to better manage rock bee colonies and their resources.
