I am an early-career researcher with a strong interest in freshwater ecosystems, wildlife conservation, and field-based biodiversity work. Over the years, I have had the privilege of contributing to large-scale riverine surveys, acoustic monitoring, water and habitat quality assessments, and conservation projects, including range-wide population estimation of the Ganges and Indus River Dolphins. These experiences have shaped my appreciation for the many ways in which wetlands and freshwater systems support biodiversity, livelihoods, and human well-being.

I aspire to do meaningful interdisciplinary research at the intersections of water systems, biodiversity, and human societies. At present, I am especially interested in how hydrological, biodiversity, and social processes come together in rapidly changing wetlands and, more broadly, freshwater systems. For my doctoral work, I hope to focus on mountain-fed, high-altitude wetland systems and river basins, with the aim of contributing research that is scientifically thoughtful and socially relevant.
