Supervisor: Eapsa Berry

I am Oishik from West Bengal. My background is in Botany and Plant Taxonomy, but I am more of an “everything guy” when it comes to natural history and ecosystems. I love exploring different habitats, finding species I haven’t seen before, and trying to understand how everything fits together. I hope to spend my life exploring and observing ecosystems across India, and maybe beyond.

For the past two years, I worked on the ecology of trees in central India, spending much of that time in the field across forests and landscapes that met me for the first time. Every trip made me fall in love with biodiversity a little more and left me wanting to know what lay beyond the next hill.
