My name is Pema Yangden Lepcha, I was born in Dzongu Valley Sikkim. I completed my MA from Sikkim University in Lepcha language in 2019 and joined ATREE as a Research Associate. A budding researcher currently working. My research is based on community research studying the community food system, agriculture change, traditional knowledge, wild edible plants of the local community in Sikkim. I’m passionate about photography, sports, reading, traveling and cooking. Research for me is not just a profession, personally what I feel is an opportunity for me to explore, understand, learn, and know my roots.
