Monsoon Jyoti Gogoi is currently working on a Community Conservancy Program in Siang valley, Arunachal Pradesh. He holds a Ph.D. degree on butterflies of Nagaland, Assam and Meghalaya from Assam University. He did his M.Sc. in Wildlife Biology from North Orissa University in 2009/11. Before joining ATREE as Research Associate, he worked in the Climate Change & Himalaya Program of BNHS for 6 years. His hometown is in Kaziranga, Assam where he grew interest in butterflies and birds from a very young age. He is also deeply interested in learning about the culture of indigenous community.
