Sahanashree Ramakrishnaiah is an entomologist and biodiversity and conservation researcher with a focus on ant biosystematics and ecology. Her research has contributed to the description of seven new ant species and the documentation of four species previously unreported from India, including Paraparatrechina neela, the first blue ant species reported from the country. She has also worked as a nature educator and resource person for insect walks, workshops, and lectures on ants. For her PhD, she plans to study how environmental change, habitat modification, and invasive species influence ant communities and biodiversity conservation.
