Ramit Mitra
Batch: 2026

Supervisor: G. Ravikanth

As a budding ecologist, Ramit’s interests include plant–pollinator interactions, conservational agroecology, and the socio-implementation of conservation. His current research under Dr. Ravikanth G. focuses on assessing functional cultivating diversity and allied agroecological parameters to understand eco-scape and entomofauna dynamics, and how they shape the linkage between agrarian ecosystems and forest ecology in the Central Indian landscape, while also examining the social implications and impact dimensions of this relationship on the indigenous community.

A Zoology postgraduate from Central University of Kerala, his previous work has explored interaction networks, insights into the dietary diversity of communities, the biochemistry and ecology of civet coffee, pollinator interactions in cucurbits, bee behavioural ecology, malacophily, and bioinformatics. He also enjoys exploring local history, design, art, and cultural content writing, including media features.
