Over the past decade, Nature-based Solutions (NbS) have become central to addressing challenges such as urban flooding, groundwater depletion, and deteriorating water quality in cities. Global case studies, particularly from the United Kingdom, show how NbS including constructed wetlands, floating islands, and bioswales can manage stormwater effectively while remaining relatively low maintenance.
