As part of a new research focused on urban resilience, we are seeking two positions, one of a Project Manager to coordinate a multi-stakeholder initiative and one of a Research Assistant, centred on trees in Bengaluru.
The project aims to move beyond traditional tree-counting exercises by developing an evidence-based database that captures the ecological value of the city’s green cover.
The role involves managing a community-led stewardship model to foster local participation in environmental governance and urban conservation.
Position: Project Manager
Start Date: April 2026
Duration: 1 year initially, with a possibility of extension for 2 more years
Location: Bengaluru, with extensive field engagement
Remuneration: Commensurate with qualification and experience
The role involves assisting in tree mapping and policy research in Bengaluru.
Position: Research Assistant
Start Date: April 2026
Duration: 1 year initially, with the possibility of a 1-year extension
Location: Bengaluru, with extensive field engagement
Remuneration: Commensurate with qualification and experience
Duration: The initial appointment is for one year, extendable based on performance and the availability of funds.
Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
