Project: “Scaling Pangolin Conservation in the Khangchendzonga Landscape, India”
Qualification: M.Sc. in Zoology, Botany, Wildlife Ecology, or Conservation Biology. Candidates with 1–2 years of field experience will be given preference. Knowledge of local language, statistical analysis, and strong English writing skills will be an added advantage. Preference will be given to candidates from the Indian Himalaya Region or those with experience working in the region.
Duration: 1 year (extendable for 1 additional year upon evaluation)
Position Base: ATREE – The Himalaya Initiative Regional Office, Gangtok, with extensive fieldwork in Sikkim and Darjeeling.
Qualification: M.Sc. in Environmental and/or Social Sciences with at least 5 years of project/programme management experience in the Himalaya. This mid-career managerial role requires executing complex, field-based project activities across multiple locations through field staff, local communities, and government agencies. Responsibilities include project planning (activities and finance), execution, reporting (including financial reporting), and periodic impact assessments. Experience in ecosystem-based approaches, traditional practices, innovation, and technology transfer is desirable. Preference will be given to candidates from the Indian Himalaya Region or those with regional experience.

Position Base: Gangtok, Sikkim, with extensive fieldwork in Sikkim and Darjeeling.
Qualification: Graduate/Master’s in Mass Communication with 2–3 years of experience in a similar role. The candidate will translate ATREE–THI’s work into effective communication materials to promote and share messages innovatively. Excellent English and Nepali communication skills and graphic design skills are mandatory. Responsibilities include outreach, coordination with colleagues, and support for the half-yearly ATREE–THI bulletin. Preference will be given to candidates from the Indian Himalaya Region or those with regional experience.

Qualification: Bachelor of Science (Botany, Zoology, Environmental Sciences, or Social Sciences) with experience working with communities and strong interpersonal skills. Candidates with 3–4 years of experience in project coordination and working with local communities in the Indian Himalaya Region will be preferred.
