I am working on plant arthropod networks in agroecosystems. It is fascinating because they are the unsung heroes of sustainable agriculture. Pollinators—be they bees, butterflies, birds, or even bats—are essential for maintaining biodiversity, increasing crop yields, and ensuring food security. Pests and predators are often referred to as the regulators of biodiversity. Without pollination, many plants would struggle to reproduce, leading to reduced harvests and weakened ecosystems. My research focuses on how these networks shape and strike an ecosystem balance, the unseen forces behind sustaining food production and agricultural diversity.
