Priyanka Borah is a doctoral student at ATREE. Her background encompasses a Bachelor's degree in Zoology and a Master's degree in Zoology, specializing in Animal Ecology and Wildlife Biology. Her research interests focus on understanding how common and resilient species persist in human- modified environments (HMEs) and examining how humans and wildlife influences each other’s behaviour in shared interfaces. Her current doctoral research focuses on golden jackals, an ecologically resilient species, within the modified landscapes of Assam, Northeast India. Through this work, she aims to inform policy development for designing sustainable and functional HMEs that support wildlife persistence and promote human-wildlife coexistence.
