Nakul Chettri

Nakul is a globally recognized conservation biologist from Kurseong, West Bengal, India. Nakul brings more than 25 years of experiences on biodiversity conservation and large-scale and long-term program management from numerous national and regional organizations. He has research interests in transdisciplinary and contemporary challenges faced by the Himalaya. Nakul has expertise on integrated landscape planning; ecosystem services assessment, valuation and management; biodiversity conservation; climate change and its impacts, ecosystem restoration and nature-based solutions. He has contributed to numerous global and regional assessment reports and has published over 70 peer review journal articles in international journals, 50+ books, 30+ book chapters and more than 30+ popular articles. Nakul has a PhD and MSc in Zoology from North Bengal University, India.
