I hold a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in forestry. For my PhD research, I hope to explore how socio-ecological landscapes- particularly agroforestry systems- contribute to multifunctional benefits and ecosystem services in Sikkim’s transitioning landscapes. My previous research includes estimating biomass and carbon stock in the pine forests of Ziro Valley, Arunachal Pradesh and the dry deciduous forest of Madhya Pradesh, as well as developing allometric models during an internship at the Rain Forest Research Institute in Assam. Alongside my research, I enjoy photography and trekking, which fuel my passion for exploring and sharing the beauty of diverse ecosystem.
