Invertebrates exhibit a remarkable diversity of anti-predatory strategies to ensure offspring survival. Oviposition behavior displayed by insects is one among such strategies. This study investigates the egg-laying behavior and life cycle of the Himalayan Large Yeoman butterfly (Cirrochroa aoris aoris), focusing on adaptations that mitigate predation risk. We conducted field studies within an urban forest fragment in Gangtok, Sikkim, eastern Himalaya.
