Our engagement with Pangolin conservation started in 2014. Ecological studies confirmed that the tea plantation, a prominent land use in the Darjeeling district, is a significant refuge for the Chinese Pangolin and Indian Pangolin. However, one of the most alarming revelations has been a total absence of Pangolin and its evidence from the tea plantations from where the species was earlier reported, thereby requiring targeted conservation efforts.
