I am a field ecologist with a core interest in avian biology and forest dynamics, particularly in the behavioural and conservation aspects of raptors, as well as understanding the ideas of carbon stocks and their functions. Growing up in Kerala, the vivid landscapes and rich biodiversity inspired me to pursue my B.Sc. in Forestry, where I developed my foundation in forest ecology and tree dynamics.

During my M.Sc. in Ecology at Pondicherry University, my fascination with birds deepened, especially while observing the wintering assemblages of Kaliveli Wetlands (Tamil Nadu). For my Master’s thesis under the guidance of Dr. T. Ganesh, I investigated the wintering ecology of migratory harriers, focusing on their interactions with kites and how interference competition shaped foraging strategies and their spatial use. This work strengthened my interest in raptor behavioural ecology and its implications for conservation. Currently, I am working as a Research Assistant with Dr.Ganesh, where I continue to study the wintering ecology of harriers and contribute to initiatives aimed at their ecology and conservation.
