Dr. KN Ganeshiah is a distinguished Agricultural Scientist and an Emeritus professor from the University of Agricultural Sciences in Bangalore. Throughout his career, he has delved into a diverse array of research domains, including Evolutionary Ecology of Plants, Insect-Plant Interactions, Insect Behavior, Biodiversity Mapping, Documentation, Utilization, and Conservation. He has published over 180 research papers and 11 scientific books.

Beyond his contributions to science , Dr. Ganeshiah is also a prolific writer  in his native language, Kannada. He has authored 8 novels and 9 short story collections most of them in the area of science and history. He also writes non-fiction.
