Jagadisha Kumara B, researcher from Soubadra Devy’s lab. Been working on pollinator bees for the past 5 years. Being involved in Indo-German collaborative project of Phase 1 and 2, funded by DBT. SHEFS project funded by Wellcome trust and Bee Garden Project Funded by Bangalore Sustainability Forum.
Passionate about understanding the importance of pollinators in urban ecosystems and the challenges they face in urban environment. Work has highlighted the crucial role of urban pollinator bees in maintaining urban biodiversity and food security and also led to the development of strategies for conserving and promoting the populations of urban pollinator bees, such as creating green spaces and using bee-friendly plants.
