Chethana Casiker
Sr. Research Fellow

Chethana is drawn to solitary bees and jumping spiders and likes to spend time looking for and learning about them. She studies the bee community in and around Bengaluru. She is interested in understanding how bees and other pollinators navigate urban landscapes and what can be done to make cities better for them. She leads The Bee Garden Project, a citizen-science initiative, where she sets up bee hotels to gather information on cavity-nesting bees and foster engagement for pollinator conservation.
In her free time, she likes to read and paint. She loves cats.
