Vembanad Fish Count 2024

Vembanad fish count is an annual fish survey program conducted by ATREE-CERC in association with University of Kerala, KUFOS and the department of Fisheries, Alappuzha. The intention of this activity is to enumerate and evaluate the changes and diversity of fish population in Vembanad. From  2018 onwards CERC being conducting this event every year. We also conducted a post flood fish count immediately after the major flood in 2018 for accounting the entry of non-native invasive species of fishers from culture ponds near the lake. Join us for protecting this grate natural heritage of Vembanad.
