PhD Title: Traversing Gendered Knowledge, Identity And Conservation: A Perspective From Biligiri Rangaswamy Temple Tiger Reserve, South India
PhD Guide: Siddappa Setty R.

My PhD topic is Traversing gendered knowledge, identity and conservation: A perspective from Biligiri Rangaswamy Temple Tiger Reserve, South India’. I plan to look how gendered knowledge is created, passed down from one generation to the other and how it is changing in a dynamic landscape. On joining the Phd program, I worked as an RA under a USAID project in BRT and then worked as a JRF in the project under DBT. My topics of interest are gendered knowledge, conservation and sustainability. Through my work, I want to look at women who are important actors of knowledge creation and proliferation and how this knowledge in turn creates an identity which is rooted in their reality and the landscape.
