Research Interest:
My research interest is interdisciplinary and has two main focus-

  1. Understanding cognition in the cold-bloods and integrating cognitive biology in ecological contexts.
I am interested to study how reptiles (amphibians as well!) perceive information, and how it influences their behavior, their ecological services, and finally how cognition biology of animals can be utilized in addressing global challenges for eg., biological pest regulation, conservation of endangered species and such.
  2. I am interested in frog acoustics. Mating is predominantly determined by the calls, and I am interested to study how calls are arranged spatially and what significance it bears, and how female cognition plays important role in selecting a male and reproductive success.
