2. Vacation Program on Bio-resources (May 26-June 21, 2004): Funded
by Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, the residential program involved 30
students from Chandigarh and adjoining cities of Haryana and Panjab. The program was
conducted in collaboration with Punjab University, Chandigarh, Institute of Microbial
Technology, Chandigarh and Y S Parmar University for Forestry and Hortculture, Solan.
3. Vacation Program on Environmental Resources (December 20-30, 2003
& March 26-30, 2004): A 2 weeks program for Class IX students supported
by Government of Delhi. The program attracted more than 900 applications from
students of more than 76 schools. Finally 45 students were selected from amongst
415 called for a written test and subsequently 100 called for an interview. The
Module 1 of the program has just been very successfully concluded.
4. Vacation Program on Bio-resources (May 2003): Funded by Department
of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, the residential program involved 30 students from the
National Capital Region.
5. Science in Nature Camp (8-12th November, 2003): A 4-day residential
program for 8th class students drawn from more than 30 government schools in Delhi.
Supported by National Council for Science and Technology Communication, Department of
Science and Technology, Government of India.
6. Teachers Training Program(s) on Outdoor Environmental Learning Techniques
(CELF; 22-25 March, 2002 and 8-12 October, 2003): ATREE conducted two highly
appreciated training programs for Delhi teachers on Outdoor Environmental Learning
Techniques. These programs having 45 teachers each were co-sponsored by Department
of Environment, Govt. of Delhi, The British High Commission, New Delhi and the National
Museum of Natural History, New Delhi.
