Research interests
Exploration of the policy positions with regard to modes of governance and of the contextual factors (socio‐economic, political, ecological) that mediate the practices of governance and their effectiveness; conflict of conservation and forest based livelihood; interface between ecology and economics; traditional practices for sustainable forest management.

Professional activities

  • Member of District Level Committee, Kalahandi, Odisha constituted under The Schedule Tribe and Other Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights ) Act, 2006 (2008-2010)
  • Member, of the team constituted under the aegis of Ministry of Tribal Affairs, GOI and ST and SC Development Department, Government of Odisha to evaluate the implementation process of The Schedule Tribe and Other Traditional Forest dwellers (Recognition of Forest Right ) Act-2006 and document the good practices
