Duration of the Programme and Fees Structure

Duration of the programme

The duration of the programme, from the time of registration at Manipal University to submission of the thesis is as follows:

• The minimum duration for Full time PhD candidates will be 3 years and maximum duration shall not exceed 6 years which will be based on the recommendation of the Doctoral Committee.
• The minimum duration for the Part time PhD candidates shall be 4 years and maximum duration shall not exceed 7 years which will be based on the recommendation of the Doctoral Committee.
• The minimum duration for candidates with M Phil qualification [in addition to postgraduate qualification] shall be 2 years in case of full time candidates and 3 years for part time candidates

Fees structure

Candidates who have met all the requirements and are ready for admission will be required to pay the following fees:

• A fee of Rs. 5000/- to Manipal University towards registration.
• An examination fee of Rs. 2500/- to Manipal University at the time of submitting the PhD thesis.

ATREE would pay an additional fee of Rs. 2,500/- to Manipal University towards processing expenses for each PhD thesis.
